A 10x10 shed was ordered in August 2018 through Home Depot. The price was $1500. A set up date was made and the sub-contractors came with a trailer. On it were the sections of two sheds. Since they discovered no power, the two guys left to rent a generator for their air nailers.
While they were gone, we tried to figure out which pieces went to which. And concluded none fit the shed ordered. When they returned, they checked invoice and said they had the wrong shed, different model and left with it.
Home Depot wanted a new order which we refused, use the one already filed.
HD took $200 off due to mistake. Correct shed was not delivered in new date of November. Repeated calls and messages left got no answers or returned call. Finally HD was made to call and they were promptly answered. No shed and then winter hit. No contact was made by Tuff Shed all winter and when HD contacted them in spring, shed was due on April 8th, 8 months after ordered and paid for. HD had thought shed had been done in 2018 and had paid them. So Tuff Shed pocketed the money and punted it down the road.
The is up. Tuff Shed used studs with rot and cracks. The metal roof edges are bent poorly. The order specifically stated NO vent and there is one in the back behind a stud. If choice was made for a metal pre-fab, one would have cost $500. Building one for 1500 would have been a larger better shed. And we would have never bought, much less used cracked 2xs.
Plus we will have to add cross ties to complete the have done truss so the roof wont bow in snow.
